I hoped that with this series, I would find a way to appreciate the incredible South Asian women of our generation, who are breaking boundaries and paving new paths for themselves. Moreover, I would like you to take a little bit of your time to realize how incredible the women around you are.

Especially if you are a woman! I know that at least one woman’s story in my #BelleBoss series will inspire you to follow your dreams, your vision and most importantly your heart. Even if that means breaking a few rules and many societal prejudices along the way.

2) You founded your blog in 2010. Could you tell us about your inspiration for the blog?

While I was pursuing a Fine Arts course at Rachna Sansad, I already had a budding interest in fashion. I was interning at FCUK & CK and researching fashion bloggers. That was the time I was very amazed and inspired by the whole aspect of blogging and showcasing one’s fashion sensibilities in front of an audience and readers. This was my foremost inspiration to start my own blog. Style, for me, has always been a representation of my personality.

How an artist expresses his emotions through his paintings, I express my ideas, my opinions and my individuality through my dressing and naturally, this blog.

3) Could you tell us more about your Women in Business Series and what inspired you to start this series?

When I was starting out one of the challenges I faced was that the Indian mindset was still warming up to the idea of female entrepreneurs. Whilst my family and friends have been extremely supportive of my endeavours, I can’t say I’ve experienced the same from the others. After I gained enough experience of my own, I wanted to help out the others who wouldn’t have accès to such insights.

I truly believe in the power of a #GirlBoss and my #WomenInBusiness series is my tiny contribution towards inspiring my readers and followers who are gearing up to follow their dreams and passions and aspire to take over the world in their own way.

There hasn’t been a week or month I haven’t failed. And yet, it’s been these failures that have been my sole encouragement to work harder and achieve more

6) You impressively are able to be financially independent thanks to your amazing blog as you collaborate with MNC’s and start-ups. Was it a scary transition to become a full-time blogger? Could you give some tips and tricks to an aspiring blogger?

Masoom_Minawala_Fashion_Blogger-miss-style-fiesta
I had initially underestimated the potential of my own blog. I was hence sceptical of what level I could take it to. The transition was not very scary as such but I was definitely cautious. My best advice to all aspiring bloggers would be to strive to be true to yourself and adhere to that philosophy as it shall ensure your blog’s visibility.
7) You recently released your Shailoom wedding trailer. Could you tell us a little about your love story and about your wedding day celebrations?

My transitional process of migrating was obviously extremely tough.

I’m not the biggest cheerleader of change and there was so much change in every sphere of life.

I had actually prepared myself mentally for every change life would throw at me, which is how this ride and journey more fun and exciting than difficult. What I love about my new home is all the love, support and the opportunities that I’ve gotten literally within the first month of having moved here.

I take these as definite signs as some things were just meant to be.

The best advice I’ve received when I’d started blogging was actually from my dad.

He’d told me that if I aimed to be the pioneer inspiring several other women then I had to ensure that I was on top of the game in every aspect of the field that I’d choose.

From keeping pace with the international fashion scene to ensuring that everything I put up on a digital platform is positively influencing, he told me there was no space for errors and misguidance when there were thousands of women watching.
